A companion for the long, quiet work of writing
Writing is mostly solitary, but it does not have to be lonely. We mentor writers who are finding their footing: learning to finish, to revise without losing heart, to submit, and to keep going when the work is slow.
Craft and courage, in equal measure
We came up between medical studies and newsrooms, publishing four books along the way. We share what that road actually asked of us, not a tidy version of it.
Mentoring is part craft and part company. We help with the sentences, and we help with the doubt that comes between them.
What the work includes
Built around your goals and the writing life you want.
Regular sessions
Recurring time built around your project and your pace, whatever stage you are at.
Reading together
We read your work closely and talk it through, in craft and in spirit.
Goals & milestones
We set intentions, mark the milestones as they come, and keep you moving.
Support between
Between sessions you write, and we stay a message away.
Who it's for
Emerging writers, students, and anyone returning to writing after time away. Especially welcoming to francophone, Haitian, and diaspora writers looking for a mentor who shares their context.
How it works
We meet
We start with where you are, what you are writing, and what you want the work to become.
We build a rhythm
Regular sessions give the work structure, and give you someone in your corner.
You keep going
You leave each session with next steps, and the confidence to take them.
Other services
Wherever you are on the path
You don't have to walk it alone.
