01What cookies are

They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as an in-progress form) and help the site owner understand how the site is used. 02How I use cookies

This website, mariejulianedavid.com, uses cookies for two purposes only:

• To make the Site work, including running WordPress and the contact form securely.
• To understand traffic, in aggregate, through Google Analytics, so I can see which writing is read and improve the Site.

I do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and I do not sell the data cookies collect.

03Cookies used on this site

Exact cookie names and lifetimes can change when WordPress, the form plugin, or Google update their software. Essential cookies are needed for the Site to work and cannot be switched off from within the Site, though you can block them in your browser (see section 6).

04Google Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to measure how visitors use it (for example, which pages are viewed and how people arrive). The cookies listed above collect this information and send it to Google, which processes it on my behalf. I use it for measurement only, not for advertising, and I do not combine it with other data to identify you personally.

05Google Fonts

The Site loads its typefaces (Fraunces and DM Sans) from Google Fonts. This is not a cookie, but when a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google’s servers, which means your IP address is briefly shared with Google to deliver them. No font cookies are set for this purpose.

06How to manage or refuse cookies

You are always in control of cookies. You can:

• Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies while keeping essential ones.
• Use your browser’s private or incognito mode.
• Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above.

Help pages for the common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Site, such as the contact form, from working properly.

07Your consent

Essential cookies are set because they are strictly necessary for the Site to function. Analytics cookies are only for measurement, and where the law requires it (for example for visitors in the EU or UK), they are used on the basis of your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the cookie notice or your browser settings at any time.

08Changes to this policy
